Nibby is an AI-powered calorie and macro tracking app for iOS, built by Hus Collective LLC. Users can log food by photo, voice, text, or barcode scan in under 5 seconds. Nibby requires no account creation, has no forced trial paywalls, and integrates with Apple Health. It features a lock screen widget, home screen widget, Share Extension, and custom daily macro goals. Nibby is currently available as a beta through Apple TestFlight.
Why We Built Nibby
Calorie tracking works. The evidence is clear: people who consistently log their food are more likely to reach their health goals. But the tools available make it harder than it needs to be.
Most calorie tracking apps were built in an era of massive food databases and manual entry. They ask you to search for every ingredient, guess at portion sizes, scroll through endless results, and navigate cluttered interfaces full of social features, ads, and upsells. What should take seconds takes minutes. And that friction adds up — most people quit within the first two weeks.
We built Nibby because we believed AI could solve this problem. Instead of searching a database, you point your camera at a plate of food and get an instant estimate. Instead of typing each ingredient, you describe your meal in plain language. Instead of creating an account and filling out onboarding forms, you open the app and start logging.
Nibby was born from a simple question: what if calorie tracking was so fast that you never had a reason to skip it?
Our Philosophy
Fast by default
Every design decision in Nibby starts with speed. The camera opens instantly. AI results appear in real time. Widgets let you log from the lock screen without opening the app. We obsess over shaving seconds off every interaction because those seconds are the difference between a habit that sticks and one that doesn't.
No sign-up required
You shouldn't need to create an account to track your lunch. Nibby works immediately after download. Your data syncs across your devices through Apple's iCloud — no email address, no password, no Nibby account needed.
No predatory monetization
We don't lock you into a free trial that auto-charges after 3 days. We don't gate basic features behind a paywall. Nibby's core calorie tracking is free. If you want premium features, you upgrade on your own terms through the App Store. No surprises, no dark patterns.
Privacy first
Your food log stays on your device and your iCloud account. AI food scans are processed in real time and not permanently stored. We use anonymous analytics to improve the app — never to build a profile of you. Read our full privacy policy for details.
